Luxury 4-person villa highlighted

Let's take our 4-person cottage Texel, landhuis Westenwind, as an example. An attractively furnished country house located just outside De Koog. When you look at the house, the first things that stand out are the romantic thatched roof and the large conservatory with its French windows. The living room has a TV with LCD screen, DVD player and gas fireplace. The possibility of heating the house makes it immediately suitable for an autumn or winter holiday. Taking a look in the kitchen, we see both a Senseo and regular coffee machine, combination microwave oven, dishwasher and even a juicer and toaster. For the little ones, there is a high chair and cot, as well as a stair gate. The latter is also useful if you bring a dog. Subject to advance notice, you may bring a pet. Upstairs you will find two double bedrooms with separate single box-spring beds.

Luxury and sustainability go hand in hand

Texel is an island apart, and if you have never been there before, it really is time you checked it out. The island is working hard to combine luxury and comfort with sustainability. Optimal amenities, combined with local product has therefore become Texel's calling card for that reason. Take a look at the 4-person Texel cottage highlighted above. It has enough luxury and comfort to warrant 5* status and is only 500 m from the centre of De Koog. On the other hand, it is wonderfully secluded and surrounded by nature. In some time, the electricity you pull out of the wall there will come from Texel soil. And it is going fast. You can now book the first zero energy holiday homes in operation through us.

Parking on own premises

As you would expect from a quality accommodation, all our holiday villas have parking spaces in their own gardens. This is nice, because if you rent one of our 4-person cottages on Texel with friends, you can both park the car in the garden. Perhaps handy to know is that a car is not a must on our largest Wadden Island. With Den Burg as the central point, there are regular Connexxion services all over the island. In addition, Texel has its own transport service called the Texelhopper. This also runs between fixed stops. This transport service has the added service that you can also order it by time and location.

Nature on Texel

If you want a week of peace and quiet and are looking for a 4-person cottage on Texel, we have plenty of choice. In the dunes, at the edge of the woods or among the bulb fields, just where you prefer. Nature on Texel has a uniqueness you won't find anywhere else in the Netherlands. So much variety in landscape and it is all accessible. Enjoy a sunset, without horizon pollution, in the Slufter, watch the process of land reclamation complete, on sandbanks the Hors or experience the wonderful world of the Wadden, on a Wadden tour.

Sightseeing

Whether you go to Texel with several adults or with (small) children, there is enough to experience and see for everyone. Besides the overwhelming nature, there are several nice museums, where the island's history and shipping from earlier times are vividly portrayed. In addition, the famous red Eierland lighthouse is one of the island's must-sees, as well as marine mammal and bird sanctuary Ecomare. In the larger villages, De Koog, Den Burg and De Cocksdorp, fun markets are held weekly and it is pleasant to be around. Furthermore, near your 4-person cottage Texel you will always find some local product farms that are open to the public.

Walking and cycling

Walking and cycling are, next to beach activities, the most popular pastimes on Texel. You can set off on your own, using the Texel app or a traditional road map. There is also a serious cycling junction network. This network counts no less than 140 km and takes you past the most beautiful spots and sights. You can combine routes and shorten or lengthen them as you wish, without getting stuck. For hikers, too, there is an abundance of footpaths. 225 km, paved and unpaved paths, lead you through woods, wetlands and over salt marshes. Our 4-person cottages on Texel are an ideal base for a relaxing walking or cycling holiday.
