Sports island Texel

Who are we? Marco, aged 63, and Willie, aged 66, have been living on Texel for the past three years.

We work together on Mondays and Fridays at LandhuizenTexel/Texelvakanties, checking the accommodation to ensure it is clean and that everything is present and in order before our guests arrive.

We both come from a customer-focused background, so despite our early retirement, we can really enjoy ourselves in this part-time job. It’s lovely to help our guests enjoy a hassle-free holiday, and that includes finding the perfect setting for them.

Equally important is the culture and the camaraderie amongst colleagues, all sharing the same commitment to ensuring our guests want for nothing – together, we always manage to make that happen!

The countryside is mainly where we work, and it’s exciting every single time.

Sheep that bleat as we arrive, but also cattle that might suddenly appear right in front of you in the woods.
