Our team: Technical Department

We’d like to put our Technical Services team in the spotlight, because it’s incredible just how much they do.
The technical team at LandhuizenTexel/Texelvakanties consists of four people: Piet Koopman, Rinze Douma, Eric Harts and Ben Hiemstra.

Whatever problems or tasks arise, the lads always do their very best to sort them out. Blocked drains, painting, mowing the lawn, repairs, laying patios, descaling rain showers, sealing joints and replacing light bulbs. Nothing is too much trouble.

We currently manage over 150 properties, so there’s always something to do. Many properties have an outdoor area, such as a garden or terrace. In spring and summer, the maintenance team have their hands full looking after these areas outside of changeover days. Every week, they’re busy keeping all the gardens, terraces and balconies tidy. During the winter season, the team are mainly occupied with painting and carpentry work, primarily on behalf of the owners and/or owners’ associations of the properties. In addition, there are several renovation projects every winter, with the Technical Services team providing support.

On changeover days (Mondays and Fridays), it’s extremely busy for the team. Various reports come in from reception and the inspection teams out in the surrounding area. It’s the team’s job to sort out all repairs, faults and odd jobs before the new guests check in at 3.00 pm. It’s a wonderful job in which teamwork and communication play a major role for the team. The reports come in via a special app. Any team member, whether from the Technical Department (TD) or elsewhere, can submit a report via this app. The app makes it easy to see what needs to be done where and what the current status is. It also acts as a logbook, making it easy to see what has been reported in the past.

In short, our technical support team certainly never get bored with all the work they have to do.
