Ferry crossing to Texel

The crossing between Den Helder and Texel takes approximately 20 minutes. On busy days, TESO operates additional sailings, but queues may still occur during holidays and the high season. You can find up-to-date information on additional sailings and expected waiting times on the TESO website.

It is not possible to reserve a place. All tickets are valid for a return journey. There is no ticket inspection on the return journey from Texel to Den Helder. We recommend that you purchase your ticket online in advance.

Parking permit on Texel

Paid parking applies in all villages and at all beach access points on Texel. This applies from Monday to Sunday between 08:00 and 20:00. With a Texel e-vignette, you can park easily anywhere on the island. You can purchase this digital parking vignette online or on-site at a parking meter on Texel.

It is also possible to pay by the hour using your debit or credit card.

Public transport on Texel

On Texel, you can use bus route 28, which runs on a fixed timetable between the ferry terminal, Den Burg and De Koog. Texelhopper minibuses are also available. This flexible transport service takes you to and from more than a hundred pick-up points across the island. A Texelhopper must be booked at least 30 minutes in advance.

Bike hire with no hassle
